6260 can't get rid of this icon - please help......

Hello :)

On my boyfriend's Nokia 6260 is this icon on the screen, which i think has to do with "call divert", but i am not sure. It appeared there several months ago and has been there ever since, even thru several full formats and rergardless how the call diverts are set.

BUT when another SIM is put in, that icon disappears. Then when the first SIM is back in, the icon appears again after the first call is made or received.

Can that be taken off somehow..?

Hi Mr. Thanh,

I dono precise if it is the logo for call divert.

But if it is, I know the settings U can do in the phone 'can' be overruled by the provider.

Happened when I bought my prepaid, whatever I set in the phone, voicemail kept activated (with same sort logo) untill I demanded my provider to switch it off.

Only later they added the option to use *21/ #21 alike codes to be able to switch it Urself.

Maybe try call the helpdesk, hopefully they could confirm my idea as Ur solution.

Thank you for reply. Now that yopu have mentioned it, i remember once putting that SIM in a Nokia 6230 and indeed the same icon appeared there too. So it can well be some sort of setting from the network operator.... strange thing is only that i have a SIM of that same network and i too have voice mail, diverts etc enabled but i never got to see that icon on mine 6600.... and i know a lot of users of that network (AIS Thailand) where no such icon is on their phones.

Maybe my boyfriend has some secret special arrangement with AIS :) We will try to get in touch with AIS and see what it is all about. I will let you know :)

It may be outbox, a lot of people have this problem.
Try going to your messages outbox and delete any messages that may be there. Don't forget to do SMS MMS and E-mail messages.

(outbox symbol kindo of looks like this [-> if it was rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise)

It is definitely not from the outbox, i know the icon for that one, it appears always when sending a MMS and it disappears at the moment the MMS was sent. The phone is set not to keep sent messages, and the outbox is always empty (e-mail is not used on that phone either).

No it's not that one ewither.... this one must have something to do with the call diverts. Because that same icon comes up when i activate "divert all" on my Nokia 6600, but ONLY if it's divert ALL, not with any other setting.

And since my boyfriend's phone rings all the time, it's definitely not diverted all calls......

this is made by virus. You must download some anti-virus program [eg Disinfector] and fix it. after scann You will get rid of it. regards...
