Hi,
I am new to phone unlocking. I have downloaded the NokiaFree Unlock Codes Calculator, & installed it (Win XP). I have a Nokia 3210e Orange branded phone. I have entered the:
Make
Model
IMEI
Country
Phone Company

The calculator then fills the MCC+MNC field
Greyed out 23433000
and
GID1 0000-Dual Band
GID2 Grey
MSIN Grey

Can someone explain to me what the GID1 is and whether
the program's choice of 0000-Dual Band rather than the other option in the drop down box (00FF-Single Band) is correct? How can I check this?

I am a bit puzzled also that the calculator produces 2 codes, can someone explain to me why there are 2 and what each one does?
#pw+CODE 4+1#
#pw+CODE 1+2#

Also I would like to know if entering these 2 codes uses 1 life or 2 lives in the resetting stakes and what messages will the phone give if the codes:
work correctly
don't work

I would really appreciate some advice on this,

Cheers

Hi,
I thought I 'd just present the resolution of the post I made a couple of days ago. I removed the Sim card and powered on. I entered the first code incorrectly and it was not accepted. I then entered the Orange single band code which I was told was in error. I then entered the dual band code (the one the program suggested) and it said "Sim restrictions removed". Three strikes one success. I then entered the first code again, more carefully this time, I also got "Sim restrictions removed". I powered down and swapped the Orange Sim for a Vodaphone and it worked fine. Thanks to you guys for writing an excellant piece of Freeware!
