If you enter the wrong codes five times into your phone, does this permanently 'lock' the phone. (So that it cannot be used & has to be unlocked via a cable/box). Or will it still work on the network it was locked to?

permanently locked means no code will unlock the phone. everything else remains the same and phone keeps working normally (locked to same provider of course)
