Mr. afrocuban, I've moved your question to the appropiate forum.

Now that you know it's a DCT4 handset, read FAQs and stickies to understand the unlock process. Once you got that, if you got doubts post as much details as you can and we will do our best to help you.

Best regards

Read FAQs, stickies and everything. I tried to unlock using the Smart DCT4 V2.02 code calculator and tried 5 times. My only posibility now is to use a cable solution. Which cable and software is useful? I have the Nokia CA-42 to connect the phone via USB.

I am running Win XP Service Pack 1

Peace!

Too bad you didn't post your doubts... because cable and software won't fix it. When we say "cable" we mean hardware indeed, not just cable and a software. You need a special device called "box", a dedicated piece of hardware intended to flash the phones, that is, replacing the phones's firmware with one equal but with no lock programmed.

A box is rather expensive for just one phone (Griffin Platinum for example, 400 Euro). I would recommend to look for a small repair shop, that will flash the phone for a small fee (max 30USD, but usually less than that).
