Hi folks;

I've unlocked dozens of Nokias over the last couple of years for friends and self using both the generator here and the USR suite (which has a whole host of DCT 3 and 4 code generators)

Just got a 6230b and my usual tactic of using the V2 code, Cingular ("Pac Bell") and code #1 failed.

I've got 4 more attempts before things go down the chute and I have to send it to one of the flasher folks, and thought I'd post here before blowing any more tries.....

Anyone have a known working config that will unlock relatively recent 6230bs from Cingular (the box says its ENS enabled, which would make it pretty recent - I dont have a Cing account so I cant verify much right now until I get it unlocked!) on either the code generator here or any of the other "common" ones?

If you need anything to know which config will work (e.g. firmware revision etc) let me know what you need and I'll post it as a follow up!

(Already did a search, but haven't found a definitive answer yet!)

Thanks in advance....

The generator here shows Box as 32821 - not 32802 - for ASIC 6.

I get back....

IMEI: <elided>
NETWORK: 31017
PHONE TYPE: 6
BOX: 32821

Is this the same one or do I need a different tool? (have NOT tried it yet!)

Ok, look, why be nasty?

I don't have a tool that will allow me to set a custom GEN, and it appears I can't do it off the free code site here either.

Got a pointer to a downloadable app that will allow me to set it?

Thanks in advance if you can help.....

PM Sent.....

The firmware in the phone is 5.34, 23-03-05, RH-28

The info above is GOOD for 6230bs with the above firmware - the online calculator here cannot do it, but the downloaded one CAN.

You have to set it to "Expert" mode to change the BOX and code gen around.

THANK YOU! :)

Yes, I know, but I didn't see anything with this firmware yet in the search - and wanted to make sure I didn't "burn" all of my 5 tries - or at least do as much as possible to prevent it!

Now to figure out how to get the GPRS/Browser stuff to work correctly... that may be a bit more of a challenge, given the branding in this thing.

Got it all except for Email - the profile it sent has things locked that I need to change - and no way around it. Manual entry so far hasn't worked...

But everything else is working - so overall its all for the good - email isn't THAT big of a deal ot me.
