I'm sorry if posting in the wrong section but I'm really at my wits end trying to unlock my mother's Nokia 1101.

Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated, cheers!

You need to provide more information?

What have you tried already?

How many times have you tried to enter a code?

Which network is the phone simlocked to?

Right, 1st I don't know much about unlocking phones so forgive me for sounding like a dunce!

The phone's locked to Vodafone, I tried to calculate an unlock code using the "Nokia Dct3 online Calculator", but I'm not sure what I'm meant to do with the code, or even if it's the correct code to use!

Help please!

Your phone is a DCT4 (thread already moved) so the best thing is to start by reading the FAQ's thread: http://nokiafree.org/forums/f79/s

if you still have doubts come back and ask...

cheers

OK guys, thanks for putting me in the right direction, UNFORTUNATELY I have not been able to unlock my mother's Nokia 1101 as yet, and have only 1 chance left (seeing as I've entered 4 incorrect codes!)

So, here I am asking if someone could please help me!

I used the offline generator to calculate the 4 different codes I've used and I'm assuming that these discrepant codes have come about through input of incorrect GEN code, although I used 3 different ones (Griffin Old, Griffin New and GTCL-001).

I tried my best to follow what was reccommended, but have fallen flat on my face!

I've got to admit when it comes to opening several windows at once and trying to follow instructions from different people also, I get confused and went to bed last night with a splitting headache.

I inputted *#0000# to find out V.5.62 25-10-04 RH-18 (c) NMP to try and find which GEN code to input? (Am I making sense here?)

Anyway, the phone's locked to Vodafone UK and I'd be very grateful if someone could help me, Thanks in advance!!!

well, the only problem i saw was you using GENs that nokia blacklisted some time ago and phones stopped accepting codes genertaed with them

According to our recent observations and to your phone's firmware date, the best GENs are "ONE" and "Original"

But it all comes up to your call... :-P

good luck and let us know how it went

cheers

Should I use ASIC 2 as well?

I would go with ONE 32836 i think code 1 if you hit Gold you may need code 5

Excuse my ignorance, but what's Gold, please don't say a precious metal!

'Gold' is also the objective, the target, the wanted result ;)
