Hey Gents,
Quick Question.. I have Crux (the latest) but cant seem to find the 6670 on it. Anyone Successfully Unlock one yet? What setting are required? Asic 5/6/ Prodogy/ New griffin? Box number?
If anyone has successfully done this lemme know, thanks a bunch.. Im guessing ill being using the Fido Special Code too... lol

http://unlock.nokiafree.org/download.php
and why do you ask if i'm sure about the modified serial? 32836 is serial ONE. where's it modified?
and why you ask "not asic 5"? isn't there written "ASIC:5"?
Why don't you try and see if it works?
btw, what country is Fido from?

Didnt work. I was asking why would you change the serial on asic 5, thats not the standard one that comes up? Plus that link only has 3.00 and 3.10? Where is this 3.2 you speak of????
Fido (Microcell) is in Canada, they use slightly modified code for there phones. Like the MNC+MMC

Sorry about the link. i thought the version in our site was 3.20 :o
get it here then :-D
about the ASIC i advised 5 because it's what 3.20 uses and because the 6670 looks like an evolution of 7610 and i assumed same thing about the asic chip
Now, i must know what error you got and what firmware version/date the phone has (type *#0000#)

Sometime certain Microsoft Libraries can become unregistered when installing and uninstalling a lot of software. One very common problem is the MSCOMCTL.OCX.
The file should be placed in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. Or, if you are C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 if you are using WinXP.
Once it is there click START--> RUN and type "REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX" (No quotes) in the box.
That should fix the problem... i know people go on about it a lot, and it seems easier to post a question rather than use the search button but i posted the exact same solution less than 12 hours ago... now it looks like i am spamming cos of that... my apologies Mr. Mestrini

no probs. :) but i think that a link to the other post would be a better solution ;)
and to all those that get "missing files" messages, try to look for them in the zip that came along with the program (if it was zipped) or, even better, make a google search since there are dozens of sites that have these "system files" available for FREE. :-D i always do that and get the matter solved within couple of minutes
cheers
