N70 on t-mobile unlockable or not guys?

just ordered an n70 on t-mobile contract,ive heard that all networks now lock the handsets to there own service.Does anyone know a way of unlocking this handset,free or pay service i dont really care....CHEERS. :???:

pay tmob to get you out of your contract and they will unlock it!

NAAAA...There has to be another way,cant be as difficult as all that surely.its only a damn phone,must be a way to flash the device and unlock it at the same time or something similar...I HOPE. :o

this is a bb5 like the 6630 6680 etrc there are no solutions to unlock these other than you'r network provider, you can flash them with the rite hardware but just flashing will not unlock it for you

Its only £20 or is it £15 (cant recall now) to unlock it from t-mobile network. They will unlock it even if you are within contract.

Yes...t-mobile will unlock it for a £20 charge,but i have sent it back cos i didnt like the contract terms.GREAT HANDSET THOUGH :o

my advice.. uve seen it now.. get a better fone i heard soo many new ones coming out with wifi (wtf cooool)) in the n series

Yep....Nokia N80 is out early next year,AND WHAT A PHONE THAT IS DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNN I CANT WAIT. :D

And whats the betting some operators will remove the WIFI settings in the hardware like Orange has just done with the about to be released SPV C600...

yeah i know....i have been with orange for 4 years but not any longer,i have heard a rumor from a very reliable source that they are going to put modified firmwares on all there upcoming new handsets,including the nokia n80...BYE BYE ORANGE,yet another unsatisfied customer is leaving,and theres thousands more who are outraged with what they have done to the nokia n70 alone,A SUPER HANDSET RUINED BY THERE AWFULL FIRMWARES. :-x

i heard that 3 unlock n70 fones for £150 wtf... mines on three.. ill be getting a 3 contract soon but i wud like to have my fone unlocked ..

the unlocker machine is out called the jaf box selling on gsm server i think.

cant wait till some geek here in london buys it.. but i bet he'll charge alot

Only the network you have the phone with can unlock the phone im affraid,same for the nokia 6680 which is very similar to the n70.only t-mobile will unlock phones on there network for around £20,as for as i know none of the other networks will do it,AND AS FOR ORANGE :x ,THEY WONT DO IT FOR ANY PRICE.

p.s: To date there is NO UNLOCKING SOLUTION FOR THE N70 HANDSETS,other than the network doing it. :sad:

Looks promising m8, :-) Now all we need is a new n70 firmware to flash them with,and as the handset is very new with no known bugs in the current firmware,we could be in for a looooooooooooong wait. :( Anyway ive lost interest in the n70 as the n80 is out just after christmas with 3 meg camera and a load of better features,plus the handset is 18mm smaller and a lot lighter than the n70 and available in black which looks absolutely awesome.Thats the phone for me,but NOT ON ORANGE UK EVER AGAIN,because from what i`ve been told and also heard,there gonna screw that hanset up aswell with the dreaded ORANGE HOMESCREEN :mad: built into the firmware.bad move orange,baaaaaaaaaaaad mooooooooove.

GUESS WAT.. im with 3 my contract ended so i used the pak to go to orange (orange sent me free paygo) i hope to get another pak now to move over back to 3 (ive been with 3 and love it but to buy nw contract is cheaper option)

do orange charge for pak?

Orange will also unlock the phone for £20 and vodafone for £15. I have had both 6680s unlocked by them and also one on t-mobile.

I bought my orange contract 6680 in August and got it unlocked by paying orange £20 for the unlock code. So it can be done while u are in contract.
