Flash ProjectZ for 3310...steps

Hello People,

You Guys doing a good job in this NOKIAFREE.ORG. Good on you mate....

Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to Flash projectZ3310.fls flash file in to my NOKIA 3310 v5.13.

It's really helpful to all the new guys like me.

I got,
Flash Cable,
f/m bus cable,
The phone(3310 v5.13)

and all i need is some deatails about what program(s) can do it for me, where i can download them, and procedures...(eg. after flash need to reset.....)

Hi,

1. Flash the full file which exists of the mcu & ppm.
2. Calc & Set the the Faid, the Flash Authorise ID nr.
3. Enable the extra 3315 menu options as picture editor & autokeylock.

for 1 U use the lpt port flash cable.
for 2 & 3 U use the com port data cable.

I think the easiest tool to flash is Rolis.
Quick-Set Faid in eg kNok22 or bPreaks eeprom tools.

For the 3315 options there was a tool which does it in 1 button press. (can't remember, sorry)

Otherwise use pclocals and sit the bit 30 in phone profile settings.

do i need to download MCU, PPM files seperately from projectZ3310.fls
or i just need this projectZ3310.fls file?
Please give some informations about MCU and PPM, and do i need those ones everytime i flash?

Telle me more about MCU and PPM.. ???

mcu is like an OS of PC, while PPM contains all the menu, fonts, language, etc

depends of what you have done to the flash file, if you change somethings in mcu part, like modify bitmap, startup ringtone etc, you just need to flash mcu into your phone, if you made change in ppm part like adding ringtone,change font etc, then flash ppm part to phone, normally we using mcu+ppm to modify those things, so you need to flash mcu+ppm into your phone after you have change anythings within your flash file.

If you want to change the language only for your phone, you just need to flash ppm part, if you want to upgrade your phone software version, then you need to flash mcu+ppm part. If you get contact service phone, you need only flash the mcu part.

expert, correct me, if i'm wrong or miss somethings.

sorry for being a bit behind but what is projectZ3310, is it just another type of edited flash file for the 3310/3315 or is it something else that is cool:confused:

Finally i flashed it, But Not impressed much.....

I did flash the flash file Projecxxxxxxx.fls by Rolis flasher(Build6) in to 00200000 - 00400000 thats it,

it works,

Is it possible to backup only some area of the phone. Like eeprom area?
How can i backup only the eeprom area? Or only the ppm area..
