This phone is not in the pull-down list in the application. How can I unlock it? I am lost :???: . Could you be more specific on how to unlock it? Thanks a lot.

Thank you, NokiaFree! I read the msg above again very carefully and follow it to give the software a try. The first code I entered worked! :D

My phone is from AT&T. And now it works with Cingular and T-mobile SIMs.

Using the same settings as above, I succesfully unlocked my (fairly old, obviously) Nokia 3595 from AT&T. 2 for 2 with NokiaFREE Calc :-)

Thanks!

I also unlocked my 3595 after finding this thread, and I'm a total newb when it comes to this stuff. It worked great for a day or so, then yesterday I went to use it and it displayed, "Phone Restricted" again. I turned it off and took out the battery and sim card, and reinserted them and powered it back up again, and it has been working fine since then. What's up with that? Is is unlocked or not?

I had been using a Siemens M56 from Suncom in Columbia,SC, which is a terrible phone (keypad errors, random lockups, loses signal constantly, low battery life, doesn't keep settings, can't hear ringer- no traditional ringer, just stupid songs, shuts down on it's own. Whoever made this phone needs a swift kick in the a**). I want to continue to use my Nokia 3595 which is a simple phone that works! Can an unlocked phone be unreliable? I use it for business so I need to work all the time. I'd hate to sign up again for 2 years just to get a new phone.

UPDATE: The phone today locked up and displayed "Insert SIM Card" Button presses did nothing, the phone would not even turn off. I had to insert the battery. On a side note, I have an unlimited minutes plan with Suncom that relies on me being in a "Free" zone that displays on the phone. On my other two phones, the FREE displays with no problem. On the 3595, it does not display on the screen but shows up every few seconds instead of the usual screen data, and then please wait shows up for about a second and a half and then the normal screen reappears. Is there a way to keep the screen from going back and forth like this? Could this be related to my problems? Is anyone going to reply to my post? They say not to start new threads when there are many on the same topic, but old threads get ignored. Thanks for any help. I have a feeling I am going to have to suffer with my M56.

2nd UPDATE: I keep getting the "Insert SIM Card" error and the phone locks up at this screen and needs the battery removed to restart. Gonna give this thread another day before I start a new one.... PLEASE HELP!!! :-D

3595 is an Northern American phone and will only work in that area ie US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil etc

If your located anywhere else ie Europe Asia India China Russia Australia, your phone is a paperweight!
