Stars and Text!!!

yo people... first question on here so be nice!!

how do you change the text at the bottom of your user names!?! and what are those stars all about to? cant we get like a ranking thing going on like in other forums, you know what i mean!? anyway thanks for the help and am glad i have been able to contribute so much to this forum!!!

well... the words under your name, as I understand, can't be changed. They are used to differ normal users from moderators, super mods, and administrators.

And the stars, no, they're not any ranking. They're associated with the number of posts of each user. Nfree used to have a reputation system, but since reputation is a subjective perception and therefore could lead to some contradictions (besides the fact that it ranks people, a practice with which I, personally, completely disagree), it has been eliminated. I would not like to see a discussion about implementing such a system, because it will be senseless since it will NOT be implemented.

ahh ok then, now that you have put your point accross about ranking users i see it is actually a bad idea. although with the text under your name, i have seen at least one other user with different text... am just jealous i guess!!! thanks for your reply!
