i found on the faq that i should use the gtcl-001 code (33552) for a 1100. should i use this 33552 code for a 1100a? if i am to use the 33552 code, which of the 7 master codes should i use to unlock my phone?
thanks

Q: Which box-serial/key-code shall I use with my model?
A: Always use v2 (33820) except when that doesn't work (try the New Griffin code - 34144), or if you are calculating a code for 1100 - then use Griffin Clip (33552).

WRONG!

the serials are related to firmware dates and not to models!

If the phone has a firmware after November 2004 then all the codes you mentioned will generate wrong unlock codes

safest serials to use for any firmware date until October 2005 are:
32779 Original
32821 Asic 6
32836 ONE

cheers

okay my phone is

v 6.64
08-04-05
RH-38

which of the three serials you mentionned above should i use? then, which of the 7 unlock codes should i use first (7, 1, 5? or 7, 5, 1? or anything else?)
sorry to bother you here. i really cannot find information about the 1100, every site/forum gives different advice.
thanks

Any of those serials should work, but you can go with ONE (32836).

Regarding the code number use the seventh one from the set. Please, post results.

I just read this post and was unable to unlock my "China Mobile" Nokia 1100 RH-38 . Firmware V6.64 (to find firmware version enter *#0000# into the keypad).

I used Code Calculator by CyberGSM v5.4

I was a bit confused because the provider that is correct is listed as "China Telecomm GSM" aka China Mobile (MCC+MCN is 46000000) in the software calculator. But indeed "China Telecomm GSM" equals "China Mobile".

Of course DC4 / ASIC 2.

I followed Edgecrusher's advice below and used the Original Codes (32779) and the +7# sequence generated by Code Calculator by CyberGSM v5.4 software.

I am happy to report my phone is unlocked! Thanks to everyone!
