Unlocking Question

I have just bought a Nokia N70 off ebay and it only works with the network 3. I have also just got my free upgrade from O2 which is a Nokia 6680 (both are 3G phones). Can I get the N70 to take my O2 sim and sell the 6680?

Nope as there is no free or 3rd party way of unlocking the BB5 Series phones (which both your phones are)

You need to get an unlock code from 3 but as you aren't the owner of the phone they won't give you it.

BaseBand 5, basically its the new hardware generation of Nokia's... there was DCT2, DCT3, DCT4 now BB5!!

I also have an N70 locked to 3 on an 18 month contract, will they give me the unlock code and if they do what do i do with it. Sorry to sound thick.

I phoned 3 to ask for the cost of unlocking my 6680, I was quoted.....wait for it.........£215 :eek: then I was toldto contact my mobile dealer and they could give me the exact info!
