Nokia 6630 (Big Problem) Some1 Help

i got a nokia 6630 as a gift some1. well thts not my problem :-P .i can take pictures ok, even thats not my problem :-P .my problem is whenever i want to record i video :-? , i get this msg "FEATURE NOT SUPPORTED !" thts it and i cant record. i tried to hard format it (*+3+green button) but no use instead of hard format it resets factory settings only. and quick and useful answer will be appreciated....plz help me :-? :-? :-?

Try using the following code:
*#7370#
This works in some Nokias, maybe in yours too?

Though I´m not sure that hard reset would cure the problem.
And before inserting the code, remember to do a backup copy of all your data on the phone!

srry to say how to reflash. do i have to go to the retailer ?

if so, its bad coz someone brought me the phone from DUBAI . and will theycharge for it ?

It seems that your firmware is´nt so old. I´m still using the first version 2,39 and something...

I´dont know about the update policy in your country, but if the phone is still under warranty, reflashing should be free of charge. Especially when you seem to have a software bug or someting in the phone. I suggest that you contact your local retailer and ask for assistance.
Ps. And in my opinion the origin of the phone is irrelevant. The warranty includes also imported phones.

I think you should post here the solutions youve made. This will be for future use, like same problems you encountered or equivalent.... so theyll know the solutions or to be follow regarding this kind of problems....

Removed some libs?

yes *#7370# works with 6630, i got my phone flushed many times..cheers

Well i had the exact same problem with my 6680. And not just that, the camera wouldn't start when i lowered the back cover. I was so angry , i almost broke it.

SO what causes this problem, is corrupt MMC registry, because of a program you installed. In my case it was the emulator and the ngage games.

THE solution (in my case) was a firmware upgrade, and a double MMC format. The mmc format must be done from the pc, because only then you can remove everything. If you do it from the phone, the entire registry won't be removed.
