Wintesla will reset the life timer as well.. Although I cant say on 'Every' or 'Any' TDMA/CDMA

Not sure why you dont discuss this in the thread but...

Are you sending the Mbus (Reset Timer to Default Command) or zeroing the timer in the eeprom area?

And the real question is are we talking just DCT3 models or the DCT4's as well?? Since we know the mbus command has changed and of course the eeprom layout is totally different.

@hafftrak

Using a PKD-1CS you can on the TDMA DCT-3 phones, dont remember 4 sure but I think all CDMA as well,havent tried a 8270 or 3285 though... but now a days whats the real advantage to resetting it?

@Blackzero

Yes rewriting the eeprom data is just as effective...We were really curious if you were doing it on DCT4, but appears just DCT3.
We had mapped quite a few eeproms out a while back (call logs,timers,game scores etc...) You mainly just playin with 826x's, or the old 516x,616x's?

Yes but there is another way but PKD-ICS is very difficult to get, even legitimately and there is no use to set it back other than fraudulant use.

Liftimers mean nothing to me personally.

@Hafftrak

True...true..... If anything maybe you would want to set it HIGHER just to say this phone has been used 9000+hours... Although I wonder if thats even necessary since I think we use them enough to get it there for real!

We can reset life time of Nokia TDMA phones with normal data commands without wintesla...

Wintelsa also use that commands which you can use in your programes

Wintesla itself with a normal PKD-1 or FLS-2D cannot it's self reset the lifetimer. You can reset the lifetimer with Wintesla by reading a brand new phone using data transfer. Once saved this information can then be loaded into a used phone hence showing OOOOOO lifetime.

If you have a machine or third party software that can in fact reset the lifetime counter, kindly explaiin.

Thanks
