First let me say thank you for the great site and work you put into it. I am sure it is no small task.
I just purchased a prepaid 6010 from Cingular (PacBell). The instructions on the site were slightly off. Here is exactly what I did and the results. Hopefully, it will help others.
I generated unlock codes using unlock.nokia.org and the following inputs.
IMEI: BALETED! (rules and all that)
Network: USA - CINGULAR Pacific Bell Wireless
GEN: Original
Nokia Model: ASIC 2
Then got me some codes.
I tried entering code #1 with no SIM at the start screen.
Result: Code Error
I tried entering code #2 with no SIM at the start screen.
Result: Not Allowed
I inserted a newer T-Mobile SIM. It prompted for unlock code. I tried #2
Restult: Not Allowed
Left SIM in and tried code #6.
Result: SIM Restriction Off
It looks like Cingular might have gotten wise to the unlock sites and changed their default IV to 6 on some newer phones.
Good luck and keep up the good work!
