Nokia 6200- Cingular

I studied the forums and tried to use the crux calculator to compute codes.
I originally got this phone from cingular USA (not ATT).

Model: Nokia (6200 )
IMEI: <deleted>, double checked
Network: 31017000

I tried number 1 and 7. Forgot the exact message but it said something like invaild code. Could the phone be unlocked or is there something else to do...

I got 2 of these 6200 phones in 6/04, long before the merger. They are definately from Cingular, box and all. They were free after a rebate. This model takes tons of abuse and I would definately want to keep it.

Honestly, I'm planning on switching providers, so I can't try another SIM card yet. From what I understand there is no way to tell if they are unlocked. From the 2 code rejections, I'm almost ready to believe it is unlocked.


Are you sure the phone is sim locked???

Im not sure that Cingular ever bought out a 6200? Only At&T did!???
