hi, i got the following question:

the cell phone is blocked after 5 consecutive attemps of imei codes or its overall... y tried several more than 5 but i turned off one every 3-4 attemps? the cell may be blocked to more attemps anyway?

how can i tell?

somewhere i readed that when the cell phone is blocked i cant type more codes with the cellphone keys, im able to do so i dont know if i can keep trying or not

tnx a lot, and sorry if the answer is posted somewhere but i searched the forum and i couldnt get to that post

(and sorry about my spelling)

btw my cell is a nokia 1100a

U have 5 trys to enter..after that..U can enter codes..but the phone will come with error or not restricted...in that case..U need a box to fix it..

By the way... it's not "blocked". A blocked phone, or barred phone, is a phone that has been report stolen/lost, hence its imei is blacklisted and it cannot connect to any network inside the country where it has been reported.

When you pass the five tries limit, the phone is hardware locked.

Yes... as Mr. sergo_zmeia said, in that case, you need a box. Check the link at top of site at ucables.com. Griffin Box Platinum is one of the psossible boxes.

In fact, if you have only one phone, a box is too much money. It's best to find a small repair shop, that will unlock the phone for a small fee.
