notepad files

earlier when i transfered a notepad file from my pc to my phone through bluetooth it used to open by Messaging app. Now adays when I transfer the same it displays error

Unknown file format
I have to use a 3rd party application like Profimail or something like that

virus on the phone or pc? to my best knowledge i have scanned both and have got result as no virus on both pc and phone

notepad files saved under the encoding
unicode
unicode big endian can be saved
where as ANSI and UTF-8 cannot be saved because the fones like N70 and other variants dont support
