n80 or k800i ?

stuck in a dilemma here on what phone to go for next my most current phone was the 6600 untill the screen went multicoloured a few days ago and packed in although i did have it for about 3 years! i like nokias and the amount of things you can do with them , but the k800i is up to 3.2 instead of 3 mega pixel for the n80 and the k800i also has auto focus which is a nice feature, im stuck in 2 minds what do yous reckon ? :???:

N80 all the way. Its Symbian. But yeah the auto focus is on K800i is nice

I'm currently trialing the N80 and I am very impressed (this from someone who is a dedicated sony fan). Any questions just ask.

my personal preference is k800i, the standard of SE phones at the moment are great a guarentee you get 4/5 time more battery life out of the k800i than the n80

I hope they dont do an N80 killer yet.No N80 killer if you are looking for a slider. but it really make you think twice if you want a N80 in a couple of weeks or wait for the N73 with larger 2.4" display, 3.2MP camera from carl zeiss optics with autofocus. I guess if I am looking for a CAMERAfone then I will want to wait for N73. Nokia's July release date means end of the year or early 2007?

And N93 has 3.2mp camera, CZ optics, 3x optical zoom as well as autofocus.

hehe giving me more options now. duno about the look of the n73 though it depends what size it is cause it kinda looks like a sony ericcson only a bit longer, also it doesnt have wifi or 3d speakers and i dont like the shape of the n93 at all.

im still undecided though cause i want the auto focus AND symbian not one or the other . i can see myself swaying too the n80 thought cause there is always more stuff to install on symbian and more to play around with.

shuurajou: whats the sound like on the n80 without headphones for playing mp3z etc is it loud and clear? and what is the battery life like? also any chance of posting a sample picture you have took with it? cheers..


UPDATE: just hada look on http://www.nokia.com/press/openstudio and the n93 defo does sound the dogs b***s but i still dont like the shape off it, it is way too bulky. also after reading the press release on the n73 it sounds class as well now i can see myself maybe waiting for the n73. i duno! too many options

If you do the maths the N80 camera is actually 3.17mp, the same as the 3.2mp Samsungs.

actually what you can compare are just the camera, stereo sound and battery life in which the SE K800 stands out except in sound volume output and Video capture & playback quality

N80 is a Smartphone (WLAN et al)...while K800 is an Imaging/Mp3/3G Phone, they do not belong in the same class

Overall N80 is much better (symbian OS, WLAN, superior browser, etc) ...K800 is just a souped up K750i with 3G and higher cam resolution..

i bought one..but i still retained my SE K750i when im travelling :D

I would say get the N80 ONLY if you are going to use all the functions!

If not, then DEF go for the k800i, I was a nokia person all this time, got my k800i (from a 6680) and I am SOO HAPPY!

Loading up time is VERY quick, no loading issues, no slowing down, and no freezing! something that I found was common the n70 and 6680, prob cos of the features

I wanted a fone thats fast and can do things when I want them too, not run a copy of microsoft excel,......

So its up to u! and the camera IS NICE!! Im a defo SE convert!

n80 has a 3.2, its the same cam as on the n73 its just marked as 3mp instead of 3.2mp(unlike the n73)

Many of my friends have n80 complain on :
1- battery End quickly
2- the Camera is very bad photography & Vedio at night As they say :-(
