Help unlock Nokia 6230i

Hi,

I have searched this forum to unlock Nokia 6230i and have found lot of information.

But when I follow the information, I am unable to unlock my phone. I have had 2 attempts with the restricted SIM in and have only 1 left, therefore I need some advice!

Phone details:
Nokia 6230i
Locked to Orange(UK)
v03.40
23-05-05
RM-72
GSM P1.1

I have tried codes 7 then 1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I generated the codes for the 6230 and tried #7 then #1 but neither worked.



Edit: My bad, I'd been doing it without the new sim card in.

When I put the new sim card in I tried #7 and it didn't work but when I tried #1 it worked fine.

When I put the new sim card in I tried #7 and it didn't work but when I tried #1 it worked fine.

Can you tell me exctly what settings you used in the new calculator?
Also, what network was the new sim on?

I used 2 different programs and they both generated the same codes.

This is what I think I used.

Use the settings for the 6230

DCT4
ASIC6
Network: 23433000 (other program/website I used was 23433)


The new sim I put in was a vodaphone sim.

Hi guys

I've just read your threads about the nokia 6230i and i simply got risky doing this:

- Quit the SIM card from my (new) 6230i and restart the phone
- Open nokiaFREE calculator v3.1
- Select 6230 (not i)
- IMEI insertion
- Let the program do the rest (Spain, Amena)
- Simply put the first code on the list

(i think i did the same thing with my older 7210i phone, same program too)

hope it will do for others as it did for me!

Alright, I've done some searching and am not exactly sure what I'm doing on the calc ver. 3.00.

Specs:
6230 (not i)
Locked to Cingular
V 05.34
23-03-05
RH-28
GSM P1.1

Language:
V 05.34
RH12_28_-
GSM P1.1

Now, on the calculator, I'm not sure what all the fields I'm supposed to answer are. I know to do the [Nokia] option; not sure if I'm to do the DCT4 or 3, but since everyone here is doing the 4 option, I tried that; I entered my IMEI via the *#06# command; Chose the Cingular option; I don't think I'm supposed to do anything to the MCC+MNC option; Not sure on what to do witht the next to options; and the 5-digit number after that, I haven't touched either.

Any instructions so that a dummy can follow? Much appreciated!

use this it more updated and has lot of extra options in expert mode,and it has 6230i
