help with w810i (invalid sim) IMEI

hi, i have a w810i which i lost then found again (on contract so was barred) i now have 2 phones, but am trying to get the old one working again. everytime i put a sim card in, it flashes the 'invalid sim' on screen so was wondering if anyone could help me? i presume i am going to have to unlock/repair IMEI on it, but don't know how to go about this- have read the other threads and still scratching my head.

needs unlock to except any simcard,
if this fone was on o2 contract for example,if u put another o2 in it it should work,(80% of the time-as soom mobs are percific to your contract sim-then need unlock)normally say then sim reg failed(or something long those lines),if mob been blocked by network provider.but for any mob 1st unlock,put another network sim in mob,(vodafone best-as u get signal anyway)then try dial out,if u get 3 beeps then mob blocked.

hi, i've tried using another sim card from the same network and the invalid sim still comes up. also can't dial out. now know it's barred, but could do with some advice about changing the IMEI to unbar it. does anyone know which program/software and cable would enable me to do this?

no free solution,only cruiser,universal dongle,can help u,but may i also say that changing the imei of any mob is illegal in uk,and carries prison sentence.

i see what you mean. ok then, hypothetically, if i was to change the imei with cruiser cable, what software/programs would i need to do this. the only other thing would be for me to sell the phone on ebay to someone leaving the country- its brand new, noscratches on it and i'm sure the insurance company couldn't give a toss since it was my phone in the first place.(mislaid it and had insurance replace it)

Hi There,
Once Imei Was Changed On K608 Model Still Came Up With Insert Sim So Changing Imei Doesnt Do The Trick On Newer Phones Unless Anyone Has Answer To That!!

Ive got the same problem with my 2 week old Motorola KRZR K1. Thought i'd lost it, Got sent a replacement, then found original phone. Anyone want a mint condition K1 or can I "repair" the IME1 on it?
