iīve been using this one for 2 years now. Itīs a antique that i love. Thanks for a guy called lancos.
The working process is simple, but tricky: you remove the eeprom from de pci, read it on a home made device or clip, make the changes and rewrite.

the question is: how do i make ponyprog read and write the eeprom with a f/mbus cable?:confused:
the clip solves a part of the problem, but what about de bgaīs icīs?

You can't use ponyprog with mbus/fbus. And the bigger question is how do you update the FAID on the TDMA phone to get service when nobody seems to know how its calc'ed.

hello gerbil. i fix the faid problem on ericssons using a padronized bin file. on nokias, iīm working on the code lines to scape from fails 1, 2 and 3. That interaction with the eeprom and cobba are driving me crazy.....:(

When it comes to reading the Nokia Eeproms I dont see the benefit with going through the trouble to remove the eeprom etc vs read/writing it with Nokia Soc or another eeprom program read/writer...

Since all the new phones emulate the eeprom there isnt a chip to remove anymore anyway.. And anything that you can r/w with pony prog you can do with Nokia soc...

Pony Prog has lots of capabilities in general with its vast amount of ic's it can read/write but not when it comes to the 24cxxx in Nokia's. Looks to be just a lot of unnecessary extra work for nothing.

That the version allows you to read/write eeprom. Please post any thing you find out about fixing the FAID.

@thiana

Yes that was what we were speaking of, you can r/w eeprom so no use for ponyprog in that instance..

@green gerbil

Do you have a pkd or any factory hardware that allows you to flash currently?

Need someone else that can update FAID presently to compare results on commands..

I can read/write a 5120i through rollis. And of course read write the eeprom thru nokia soc.

@thiana

Nokia Soc 1/2 doesn't work with 3320/3360. To 3320/3360 you need phoenix with dll to 3320/3360.

@green gerbil

Attention: If you choose to write back to a cellular via nokia soc 1/2 your cellular will get "no system". You could only read via nokia soc 1/2 with safety.

yea, I know. FAID is invalid if I alter ESN or any flash checksums.

But there's two lines that is a checksun and using pony you could change (you need to calculate the checksun of esn) it and write back by a writer at lpt1.

thanks man. With lines on pony are the checksun? You calculate checksun as we do on ericssons with hex 4E3 or some?:confused:

@thiana

Sorry, but i don't know where is these lines. I know a guy (in your state + country) that knows however he wants some to trade for it. He's looking for drivers (modulos) to use 5120, 5120i, 5125, 6120, 6120i, 8260 with phoenix.

Cheers!

For all intents and purposes, phoenix shouldn't have a nsc-1 driver because its for DCT4.

There are(in house) beta drivers that work with DCT-3 for Phoenix.
However, it requires a special version of Phoenix which is not available, yet ( It may or may not be released) There were talks about releasing it in order to make it easier for outside svc shops be able to run just ONE program that covers all current models but guess we will just have to wait and see.

They did make something like that for the CDMA phones with DIEGO. Its NOT designed as SVC CENTER software just P.O.S. software. Hopefully they dont go that route with the GSM/TDMA stuff.

@phonedudes

If you take in your hands these version of phoenix + drivers to DCT-3 (mainly NSCW & NSC) let me know.

Btw, Have you already tried this crack to phoenix?

About ponyprog, you donīt need to desold eeprom from motherboard to r/w
I made a simply paralel interface with a SOIC clip, that fits in eeprom chip.

A really really help!!!

This work very nice on ericsson. About nokia, nothing. The cell loose RF adjusts. Get "crazy", loose signal, restarts, etc.....

I donīt now any method to alter esn or even calculate FAID.

Anyone does?

Look at faid calculation for GSM Nokias and try to see the parallels between that and the TDMA phone.

@REALTHOMAS

Yes we have Diego and yes it requires a Dongle...but to be honest we NEVER use it.

Currently you can still do more w/Wintesla. As far as a crack for
Diego one might exist but chances are probably NOT just because of its limited use (CDMA POS software/Not SVC) nobody might have bothered.

Will Wintesla work with a 6255i and a DKU-2 dongle? I'm trying to get my collections and games folders back after Allltel removed them with their new flash. I know Diego can re-enable them. Can Wintesla do that also? I have Wintesla but can't get it to recognize the dongle.
Thanks!
