hi to all...

i've bought a second hand phone n70 blocked to orange network..
i bought a code from orange itself to unlock....it hasn't worked because the code count was =3 and i didn't able to insert any code anymore...

so i ask to b-freaks team (nss) a request for a .rpl certificate to restore the phone to its original state..

the rpl i got from them works great....... but the code, for unlock my
n70 orange uk simlocked, i enter is "code error"...but i think the
code is right because i got it from orange itself

1) in this phone i only upgrade the firmware with the last music edition
v.5.0638.3.0.1 (for make this i have changed the product code from n70
orange uk to n70 music edition....i have make this in my old 6680
before inserting the unlock code that i got from the same people and
it works great)

2) also i changed the 88 field in the pm to all 0000000 for resetting
life timer (but i have just restored with original value)

can this 2 thing makes the unlock code not valid? OR SIMPLY THE CODE I BOUGHT WAS FAKE?

most likley the code you bought was OK, I think changing the product code is the problem, as the phones security certificate uses the product code among various other things (IMEI etc)
