Can the 5 unlock by code tries be reset?

I have a nokia 6111 which someone has tried to unlock via codes. They have exeeded the 5 attempts and cannot try anymore (this is infuriating as i have the right code!).

Is it possible to reset this counter?

no way at all, now cable is needed
If such a reset could be possible there would be no limit in codes attempt
