I have managed to lock many many phones and have just done 5 of our work phones in the UK before we move from Orange to Vodafone, but one of the phones is proving rather difficult.

It's a nokia 6030 on Orange in the UK

I go to the usual nokia calculator and get my code - normally what happens is after the last # it automatically comes up with either phone is unrestricted or code error. This phone does nothing but sits with the code still on the front screen.

I read somewhere that sometimes if you put an incorrect sim into the phone you can combat it this way. So i typed in the codes again - l;ines 7 then 4 and the 1 and they all say code error this time.

The phone is
Nokia 6030
V y3.44
23.11.05
RM-74
(c) Nokia

and the IMEI beigns 358381 and there is also the code 0528898 written above the IMEI.

Many thanks in anticpation.

Insert a NON accepted sim card. When it says phone restricted, press "undo."
It will ask for a restriction code, and enter the code in to the box on screen, and then input the code you have generated using these settings

IMEI enter *#06#
asic 2
mcc-mnc 234-33
gen ONE (32836)

code 7#

“Cannot undo restriction” or “Not allowed” means. After you have made 5 attempts or even 3 attempts on newer phones and failed, the phone displays that message, meaning that the phone is "hard locked." At this point, you will still be able to use the phone with the original provider, but you will not be able to unlock it by codes. You will need to take or send it to a professional for direct unlocking service.
