Hi, I'm still pretty new to mobile phones. First one I bought was about a year ago, and I'm aged 64!!!!
Now I bought another - Pretty simple compared with most - a Nokia 1110i (Type RH-93), and is locked to Virgin. I want to unlock it so I can use it on T-Mobile which is the network I have on the first phone. (Virgin charge 35p /min to call other networks).
Looking at some free software for unlocking - no phones of that Model and Type No. shown in their lists.
Also - someone suggested that I type *#0000# to get the software version and date, but that didn't work. (*#06# did work for the IMEI)
Now I see that two people have said the 1110i is an ASIC 11 and can't be unlocked except by service provider.
However another two have said it's an ASIC 2.
In this forum there is a pdf from someone, who says that the 1110i is a DCT4 type.
Any advice please?
