Firefox Mobile - Sneak Preview

Well, that was a few months back, in October, we’ve wrote about quite intriguing interview (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/05/firefox_mobile.htm) with Mozilla Foundation CEO Mitchell Baker on the state of mobile web browsers and Mozilla's plans to develop a mobile version of Firefox (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/05/firefox_mobile.htm).

After the pretty long period without any news about the upcoming Firefox mobile version few days ago I got a tip over at forum section (http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16393) that Mozilla going to release a glimpse, sneak preview of the browser UI probably pushed by the growing competition (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/008/01/skyfire_mobile_browser.htm).

So, I decided to do a little more research over the past few days and it resulted with an interesting find. Mozilla, company behind the open-source browser Firefox has released a sneak-peak (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/008/01/firefox_mobile_sneak_peak.htm) of the interface that will drive mobile version of their popular desktop browser obviously optimized for touch-screen phones.

Early screenshots reveal the very simple and clean interface that will definitely requires further improvements and optimization but there is no doubt that will perfectly fit to upcoming S60 5th generation devices (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/12/nokia_world_2007_s60_touch_ui.htm) with new combined touch... .. .
