I had a 8210, freezes after 5.6 minutes when it was switched on. And cannot update time/clock…and it was Coke (Coca Cola) damaged.

What I did was,

1. Cleaned the PCB with Methanol by toothbrush.
2. Dried it up by Hair Drier for 10 minutes…..be careful don’t heat it too much
3. Flash it with a working Full Flash file.

Then it did work for much longer than before but the problem not solved.
Then I remove the Backup Battery of the phone and Reflash and Update Faid.

LIVE and KICKING !!!

Now it’s working Excellent!!!!

Back Up battery is, I think, located near the keypads, there's a circular plastic on the right side when facing the phone, with the casing taken off...

It's dangerous maybe to use toothbrush... but it's worth a try when your just about to loose your phone....

Hmm...

Make sure the toothpaste has Fluoride, so that you keep your phone strong and healthy :D

Backup battery on the 8250 is in the same location as the backup battery on the 8210 (top right hand corner of the keypad).

take the front cover off the phone.

look just next to the button for hang up, there is a lump.

That lump is where the backup battery is.

Remove the keypad (screen) and you remove the battery too.
