Flashing DCT4 with dongle/clip?

Im planning to buy a dongle/clip or whatever u call it when u have a box and connect it to a CPU. But before i do that...I would like to know if its possible to change the imei on a 8310 by taking the flash file from another (working) 8310 and flash it in to the first one.....Will the IMEI change during the process?

To set some things straight:

A clip is a unlock/imei change device that works without a computer. So whenever you need a computer to unlock/flash it's called dongle or box or flasher or something like that.

Sounds like you want to buy a dct4 flasher (NOT clip!). With all dct4 flasher it's not possible to download the flash from a phone. So you need to download flashfiles from the internet to be able to get a flashfile. These contain only ppm and mcu so no imei chance is involved. As far as I know it's not possible yet to change imei with flashers... maybe with expensive original nokia equipment but I don't know about that.

Hmm...

The IMEI is stored in the flash, so can't you edit the IMEI from the flash and flash your mobile? :D

you can't edit the flash as you can't even read the flash on dct4 phones :)
