Hi
I did replace old ringtones in my 6110, not so hard thing to do.
Plese check ' http://www.geocities.com/nok5rev/ppm.html ' for PPM structure.
Just remember to add/delete filler bytes (0xFF) after block named 'DUMFILE' so the size of modified PPM package is same as original.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that after modification PPM checksums must be recalculated, off course /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I've never done these things before but now this sort questions will become very interresting I guess.
For the way a ringtone is written in the Nokia MCU here's maybe an interresting site:
http://www.modifyingnokia.at.tf/
There's more about logo's and other stuff too.
Good Luck.
To Mr. HOUSI ELASKAry:
If it's a version 5110-5.24 can I have a copy of it please?
It could really help me 'out' and it's very hard to obtain, believe me.
This Bboy is already looking for IT since 13-9!

Hi!
It would require huge amount of text to explain this step-by-step.
So I attached TONE-block of PPM I created using 'Hex Workshop' and text file where I'll TRY to explain
how it works.
The text is quite messy, and there are propably lots of typos and errors, cause I wrote it in hurry.
but I hope it helps you to get started
I have tested this block I created as an example, with NSE3-V3.14 flash, and it worked fine.
I don't know if inner structure of PPM-blocks varies with version number/model, but I belive all
versions uses the same structure.
So in theory, this should work with all models and PPM versions. /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Great and Clear explanations Mr MTL.
This theory worked perfect for my demos of mostly 3310, a 3330, 2x6210, a 8850 & a 5110-527.
The tip of the end marker I didn't notice until now, TanX.
