what imei to put on my s300???

hi,

i ve just change imei on my s300 barred to an imei of nokia 5110 not in use, but is it an obligation to put an existant imei on a mobile???
if i change just one digit, is the mobile fonctional?

ps: i m a french guy so my english is a little bad...

you can use any 15 digits you want for the imei number, but its better to use the number of a fone thats not in use, because sum networks check the imei of the fone each it connects...

how did you change the imei on your s300? what did you use?
