3330 -> 3410 Conversion
Hi There..
Had the oppertunity to take apart a 3410 and i must say that i am stunned..
The Nokia 3410 is actually just a beefed up 3300 series phone..
If you have a fairly new 3330 and would rather have java games instead of WAP you can actually upgrade it rather easy..
The only thing you need is a 3330 with PCB revision 12.
UB4_12 is what needs to be at the bottom of the PCB on the front side..
Then all you need is a display with buttons from a 3410 and a cover for 3410..
Well yes and you need to reflash the phone offcourse..
This will only work on 3330 because you need the 32MBit flash (the 3310 only has 16 MBit flash)
You need newest PCB revision because the button layout is different from 3300 series to 3400 series...
Hope someone could use this info..

@LALA
It is possible to convert 3330 to 3410..
All you need is flash files for 3410 phone...
And offcourse the new display and new cover..
BTW. I today saw a 3300 series PCB with revision BU4_11 and this pcb also has the extra buttons. ANother one i saw waqs UB4_10 and it did NOT have the buttons on the PCB so it actually just needs to be UB4_11 or newer...
@Willow
SOrry i have never had a 3350 in my hands, it belongs to the Asia Pasific market and is not sold in scandinavia as far as i know, but looking at the phone on Nokia´s website makes me think that it IS possible, it allready have the layout from 3410, maybe it is even possible just to flash the phone with 3410 firmware and it would work right away..
But before doing so please take the phone apart and look at the bottom of the PCB on the component side, what PCB revision is it ??
