programming a SID number

I have a phone I've switched networks with and have changed the SID through the phone programming mode and if you look @ its NAM settings it has been successfully changed. However, as soon as I start the phone up it flips back to the old SID and my old provider's towers (telus sucks!).

It's a pain in the ass because my new provider has stronger towers/less service holes!!!


I already have the data cable, QPST, UniCDMA, universal PST and LGKDP.

the phone is an LG 4600

also, I want to upgrade to the newest firmware (version: T46TEV05).... BUT my new provider doesn't carry this phone! ack! anywhere I can d-load this firmware from?
