6101 and the Infrared Port

Hey guys,

I have a nokia 6101 device, and an infrared port on my computer. I am running a Windows 98 SE system and the infrared port has the generic drivers installed. I have tried several programs but all do not seem to pick up the signal of the 6101. I know the port on the 6101 works cus i transfer stuff with other fones and i noe the one on my computer works because i use a remote control that requires the port and works extremly well. So what could be the problem. When i was using oxygen phone manager it gave me a message that said "IRDA Stack not installed". Can someone help me out?

I just want to close this with a reply. I had solved the problem A while ago. If any one has problems with their IRDA communication, make sure it is set through your BIOS for solely IRDA communication, and not Serial Communication. This is relating to IRDA ports over SERIAL COMM.
