Nokia 6101
Please could someone assist in the methods that I can get NetMonitor activated on my NOKIA 6101 .It is not locked and do not have a CA-42 data cable yet.
I do have the DKU-2 cable (used on my 6680 all ok)but the Nokia suite will not recognise the device when used on the 6101.
Any assistence would be greatly appreciated.

Before answering, two advices for the next time you post:
1. Please, don't double post.
2. Next time, chose a title more clear... like "NetMonitor on a 6101" for example. "Nokia 6101" could be anything. If you title your post clearly, there's much more chance to get an appropiate answer.
Now to the question:
To activate netmonitor, you need to flash the phone with a firmware that has netmonitor activated. Unfortunately, there's no other way and no data cable/software combination will help.
If you search on some other forums of GSM phones, you will find the flash files. Other thing, to flash you need a box. Since a box is pretty expensive (from €150 to €400+), maybe you could d'load the flash files, copy them to a cd and go to a small repair shop and ask them to flash the phone with the firmware you have.
Take a note that on some phones, this is in beta stage.
Activating netmonitor on DCT4 phones is not as simple as on DCT3 phones.
I hope this explains.

Hi Edge
Many thanks for the much needed info and will have to look around for the software.
My appoligies for the double posting .The page hung and tried again and after a few seconds later it went through.I am on ADSL .
I have managed to get the IRD to work on my laptop.
I "wish "that netmonitor or "Celltrack " used on my 6680 could be used on the 6101.
Anyone have any idea on the manual for the 6680 NETWORK MONITOR ?

There is somwhere on the net a general manual about netmonitor mode. It wasn't easy to find I remember... maybe if you do a search on "netmonitor manual" here in Nfree you may found something. I think all netmonitors are similar, so any netmonitor manual should help you. If all you want is know and understand what the tech data in the netmonitor mode is/means, I can help you with that.
