8260 to 8860 conversion

hi i have just converted two 8260's to 8860 one thing i miss from my original 8860 is
when i slide up the front it does not ask me if i want to lock the keys is there anyway i can impliment this feature so that when i slide up the front i am asked if i want to lock the keys....and when the keys are locked and i slide down the front it will unlock the keys???

there really nothin u can do the lcok feature when u slide up is only on the 8860 software

can't i edit the flash file and add that feature to the 8260???

You can try to edit but i nvr tried it cause i don't have the 8260 or the 8860 flash or the data cable but if u hold the end call button it locks but if u do hehe please tell me i would also like this feature on my conversion also did u do your own conversion including battery?

yes i did everything myself...
but i also just bought two batteries for my g/f cause i did one for her too....but my battery you can tell was modded by me because all the contacts are original 8860
not the 8260..

so where did u buy the slide pin and housing from ?

for my personal one
i used the slide pin from my original 8860
the housing i purchased together with the slide pin and housin for my g/f's phone from a wholsaler of mine....
i can get them for you if you like and also we have converted batteries
