i have had the phone unblocked, sim card accepted, i received one ring tone messege, but now the phone will not allow me to ring out and when i use my land line to phone the 8310e it say's its engaged could someone tell me how i can cure this problem.

i assume the phone was barred before i had it unlocked. it actually read "restriction code" i could not do enything with it. i took it to a friend of mine, took the sim card out and pluged some thing into it with a battery pack. he had to try a few connections before it took the card. it is an orange phone but my sim card is a vodaphone. it has full signal and when i enter phone settings and go to network i press manual and it finds and stores vodaphone.

have i missed anything?

Very little info really given....does the phone still have a signal? Was the phone barred before you got it unlocked? Where in the world are you.....(didn't check info) if in UK, T mobile and Voda (I think) show signal, but will not let you ring out. If you give more info, maybe you will get a better answer....

Just remembered, some networks, even when the phone is barred, will allow text messages to be received and sent.
