    Angry MMC reader/writer VS. Infrared

has anyone tried using a reader/writer to transfer huge files eg. 20mb or more from PC to MMC? How long does it take? It takes ages to send a 20 mb file from infrared to my 3650!

i use a mmc reader but i haven't transfered large files but I read here that it is a lot quicker... I don't have infrared, it doesn't even take a second to pass photos and apps so I presume large files are a lot quicker

Yes I have an MMC card reader/writer made by PQI. I just use it when I'm transfering files more than 2MB to my MMC. It's really fast especially when I'm transfering 50-70MB movies to my mmc... I also have IR but only use it for intalling apps/games and transfering pictures and ringtones...

I'm currently using an mmc reader made by pocket reader. I think that an mmc reader is essential when transferring large files (especially video) from your pc to your phones mmc, coz as you've said, Ir takes forever to transfer large files to the mmc. As for the speed, based on my experience with my card reader, I estimate the transfer speed to be in the vicinity of around 1mb per second, so a 30 mb file should take around 30 seconds to transfer, give or take a few seconds.

    You can use:

    - PC Suite 3650 by nokia -- If using IR Kinda Slow
    - PC File Manager by EPOC -- THE BEST! -- If using IR kinda Slow
    - MMC Card Reader/Writer -- The Fastest
