    Nokia 6610...problems unlocking!

    I just received unlocking codes from a reputable ebay seller that don't work on my 6610 locked to T-mobile USA IMEI NO: 350894309281998. The codes I received result in a "Code Error" message. I have tried both codes with sim in, and the first code with the sim out. As I understand it, there is a limited number of tries for this. Recommendations? The codes I have tried are...Code 1 : #pw+046553672417156+1#
    Code 7 : #pw+936452467426051+7#

    try the online code generator here
    you need the MCC+MNC code for your network
    there are about six different ones for t mobile usa u need to find out which code is for your network

    you could be tmobile 16,20,21,22,23,24,25 or 26
    i have had a guess at 16

    Is there a limit to the number of codes to try? should the sim be in the phone? I only use 1 and 7, correct? Thanks

    to get the network code you would have to contact the network
    dont know how forthcoming they would be though as you can imagine

    as for entering the codes I think its 5 attemps
    yes try 1 then 7

    What determines network code?

    My phone was ordered through T-Mobile corporate sales in California, shipped from T-Mobile in Maryland and destrined for Use in Chicago....what determines which network code it would be on?

    the truth is i do not know not sure if anyone does
    i have started a thread to try to resolve this somehow
    only the network can tell you as far as i am aware

    sorry i cannot be more helpful on this but it is a very difficult situation
    when a few people on tmobile usa have had successful unlocks and posted the mcc code and there area in the usa i am hoping we may be able to be more accurate with the code

    this applies to all the unlocking people here who will probably benifit from the thread that i have started
