8210/8250/5210 flashing

Hey all i have just got a 8210/8250 plug to fit in the phone for flashing or mbus/fbus now it is missing the ground pin can i ground the phone on a power source or ground the ground pin on my dejan box so that i will still be able to flash it or will it flash without the ground pin connected.

Use a needle instead of the ground pin - or even better - a really tiny spring instead of the missing pin...
