link problem on 2100

im just wondering why sometimes when my mother, who is using 2100, sends me a message, the messages appears to be a 3 part linked message even though the message that she had been sent to me didn't exceeded 160 characters. the first link only contains 72 characters only, the second is 30, then the last link contains 22 characters. which when we add is 124 and it should be sent without a link since it didn't exceed the 160 character limit. is this a bug on 2100??? thanks in advance for your explanation for this.
