3310 unlocking

Can anyone help,
I'm trying to unlock a phone for a friend
Its a 3310 on virgin
Ive got the code and put it in
It says it done but when I tried another network sim card
it still isnt reconised
what do I need to do

U sure U type correct IMEI...try to get code again..or get a cable and nokia tool by rolis..
