    Darn, no luck

Just says 'Code error'. I've treble checked the IMEI again (both on the back of the phone and *#06#). It's definitely network locked to Orange, definitely an 8310 (the '8310e' variant, does that matter)?

    Same error.

Tried the first code you gave twice (assumed I must have done a typo, but was very careful second time), second code once. So that's three goes; should have another 2 left...

Phone is a reconditioned one orange only sent me about 4 weeks ago - the code on the back is 0507789.

The phone is actually unlocked. I think I'd not actually tried another SIM in it since Orange reconditioned it, they must have forgotten to lock it to the network

    Thanks anyhow guys!

U only get 5 tries at entering codes after that you will need to get the phone unlocked by cable and software.
