8210 > 8890, please help

i just wanted to no if ne 1 could help me. i have a 8210 and i tryed to put 8890 software on to it but every time i turn it on it beeps and says "sim restriction pending" then it restarts it self, but if you press the hang up button it go's to the menu for about 2 sec's and then restarts. i have updated the faid aswell.

could ne 1 help me to get it 2 work, or is it that u just cant put that software onto the phone.

Sir, did you change the imei after flashing the 8890 eeprom? You must put the original imei to the cell after the flashing. Then, clear sp locks, then update faid OR if it does not work, use faid calc or bphreak's eeprom tools.

yea i tryed all of that but it still dont work. but is it possible to convert the phone to a 8890?

also i tryed change it 2 a 8290 but it came out with contact service, is it possible to change it 2 that aswell?

u can flash 8210>8890 it ok but you will got some problem that it happen with u because some hardware not support u can use it but not all funtion then u should be use the direct model i think it better

Is there any way you can put a 8890 housing on a 8290 or is there some kind of a special conversion housing available somewhere? I've been searching for about a week, can't find it anywhere...
