Help! 6800 is Frozen / Dead... how to reset?

Please Help if you can...

I love my Nokia 6800. I've only had it a month, but it's been great!

Last night, it froze up during synchronization with my Outlook contacts database. The clock froze. When I turned it off, then back on, it never finished coming up... the screen is all black, and never clears. At that point, the power button doesn't work, and you have to remove the battery to turn it off... When you replace the battery and switch on, the same thing happens. I've also tried leaving the battery out for 8 hours - no luck.

My guess is its some kind of memory problem. Is there some way to reset the phone? Can I hold down some button while powering up the phone? Any ideas, pleeeease?
