    Trouble unlocking N-Gage

hey, i just got an n-gage for christmas, i put the sim card in, the phone works fine but it says 'sim card not registered' so i tryed it in my dads phone and it said phone restricted and asked for a code.

Im not sure wich is the IMEI code, theres one on the back of the batterie, which is; 067040063563331411

and there is a coed on the phone, behind the battery which is; 351521/00/279999/7
(ive seen both in these forums)

and the network is o2 and i am from the UK.
Hope u can help and hope u have a good christmas

if the code is for the ngage

    #pw+003363032165260+7#

if not for the ngage and the imei is your dads phone then what type of Nokia is it ??

if not a 3650,7650 or a 6600 then the code is (if any of these then the code above is for them )

I take it you are trying to unlock your dads phone ??

hmm,i dont think i understand fully,on my dads phone (6310i Imei;351453/20/008934/6) When i put the Sim card in and swith it on it gives me the message 'Phone Restricted' and it asks me to put in a code.

but when i put the sim card in my N-Gage (Imei; 351521/00/279999/7) it gives me the message 'Sim card registration failed' but all the features of the phone work but there is no network coverage. please can sombody talk me through it step by step because i just got my N-Gage for christmas and i am getting realy annoyed that i cannot use it

once again my sim card is o2 UK.

what network is your dads phone...if we unlock that phone and try your sim card we can see if it is the sim card that is faulty or your ngage..

could be worth trying to gently clean the contacts where the sim card goes in the Ngage witha piece of kitchen towel or a cotton bud, and then gently do the same to your sim card on the gold bit on the back..it might just be a bad contact..
