can someone help me out i downloaded the jic and when i run it it says that "privileged instruction" and the unlocker stops working and i can't get the phone to unlock

was it in testmode when it said that?
if not, try putting it in test mode
try using a friends computer.

you have to run it under win98. i got the same message on NT but it worked on 98.

i found this software htat supposedly can fix the privileged instruction thing by setting port authorizations in win2k and XP. but when i add 0x3FB - 0x3FF (com1 for the data cable) it does not change anything.. could someone else try it and post your results, ideas ?
