    8210 Contact Service Message

    My Nokia 8210 is useless.
When I turn it on it displays the message CONTACT SERVICE.
Often before, it displayed Insert SIM (or similiar msg).

I'd like to try solving this problem by myself if possible, and so I need help from kind expert people.

I don't know what version the SW is.
    I don't have any cable.
    I'm quite smart in electronics.
I don't have so much money to spend.

    So these are my questions?
    1. It is possible to fix this?
    2. Where can I find good docs (I want to learn)
    3. I think I have to "Flash" my 8210, right?
    4. May I self-build a cable (a dejan flasher cable or similiar, right?)
    5. Can anyone please tell me the step-by-step instructions or give me useful links?

    Thank you in advance.

    Ok....Its not a Problem

At first you have to buy a Flasherset and a MBUS Cabel for Nokia. After you have bought them i will help you. Let me know after you have bought them. Write it here.

    Question

To fatihorhan or anyone who can help me.

I am self-making a flash cable and a MBus cable to solve the contact service message on my 8210, following the dejan schematic.
    I have some assembling trouble:

When flashing the battery must be inserted?
Same question for the Mbus cable.
Any practical (mechanical) idea on how to make the connector for the 8210? I have the pin scheme.
The PS/2 connector is male on the phone side, right?
(I know it's the same, but I want to follow the "standard")

Because I'm finishing my soldering job, can you explain the steps I 'll have to follow, so I can go on during the weekend?
    Which software do I need?
    Thanks a lot

OK. I got the cables (flash and MBus).

    Here is how I did:
I bought a data cable MBus / FBus (the label says DAU-06M) for the 8210.
I've cut the cable in the middle and soldered a female and a male PS2 connector.
Then I made the Flash cable part with the LPT on PC side and a PS2 on phone side.
Now, please, I need the step-by-step instructions to solve the CONTACT SERVICE message.

    thanks

To: fatihorhan or anyone want to help me.

    I'm searching for flashing instructions.
My main problem is I don't know the sw version on the phone.
What if I flash the wrong version?
What kind of flash must I do: complete partial.

    Thanks
