2280 Test mode startup help

Hi my mate gave me his faulty 2280 . I turn it on and the screen comes up Test mode, I press all the buttons to see if anything shows up .which nothing does,plus I have to take the battery out to shut the phone off it looks like it freezes on test mode ,I dont know but.any help would be great. thanks guys n gals

Try *3001#12345# this should put you in program mode and scroll down to field test and hit OK then select disable. You can look at the security code in this also and change if needed. Turn phone off to exit this mode and field test should be disabled.
